How do Wright flare nut wrenches compare with Snap-On?

while I love wright, and have more wright wrench and all my big sockets are wright, there is nothing better than SO flare wrenches. I have tried SK, wright, craftsman and bonney, in fact I wish I would of bough SO first, it would have been cheaper.

I have no idea about their flare wrenches. But their Combos are some of the best if not the best. They have the best box ends.

If you are talking about ratcheting flare nut wrenches, they are great. I never used non-ratcheting Wright flare wrenches.
Wright tools are a great brand, and good value in my opinion.

Wright Tools is on par with the top tool truck brands and Wrights wrenches are better in my opinion..

Thanks for the replies, guess i will try another Snap-on.

I need a 11/16 combo flare wrench and already have a Snap-on 5/8 RXS20B but a new RXS22B is over $60 from Snap-on.

Didn’t I read here that Snap-on went up on there shipping prices?

So, how are the Snap-On objectively better than the others? I'm in the market myself and would like to know.

GrantCee that is a good question.

I would like to know if the Wright flare nut wrenches have rounded sides or squared off sides like snap-on has.

They don't spread and round off the corners of the brake line nuts. Or I should say much less so. Salty roads make a mess of brake lines here.

Of course if you are replacing the lines its better to just cut the line and use a 6 point socket to remove the nut.

^This, I got a great deal on a metric and SAE set. I am all in for less than one set new from snap on. Just have to watch for deals.

this is especially good idea for a one off SAE. Not much demand for them, so the prices are lower.

Check out the den of tools video on youtube of box end wrench testing. The Wright clearly beat Snap-On. Plus Wright are nicer to pull on, especially compared to Snap-on.

I use both and honestly can’t tell much difference in use. Wright flare wrenches are top quality, as are Snap-on, but the Wright pricing is lower. The SAE flare wrenches have always been made by them. I have not tried the combination flares though.

The metric Wright flare wrenches are now produced by Wright. I believe this change occurred when Apex no longer made flare wrenches in the US, as this was the previous supplier to Wright for metric flare wrenches.
