How do you clean funnels

What the hell are you putting in your funnel? I mean if you had say 1ml of gear lube leftover in the insides of the funnel and then did an engine oil change with 5 liters (5,000ml), what do you think will happen? The engine might explode?

I have separate funnels for oil/antifreeze so it's not an issue for me. Maybe a quick wipe out with a rag...

Lol, my concern is with grit and dust that is on used rags. I would not worry about mixing 2 oils in this case. I worry about the funnel picking up dust during storage.

Maybe I am a bit **** about it? Makes up for the mess in my shop and garage? I must be compensating for something.

Wipe with a paper towel, place in a small metal coffee can, and put the wadded paper towel in the opening. Before next usage, just a quick wipe with the paper towel.
