If you want a break, as for a temp ban... If you don't want to visit the site at all, go into your router setting and setup a redirect to send you to a different place when you try to come here
Not trying to be a douche here, but... How can you have a gazillion posts, and have not seen this scene play out a hundred times with other members? I mean, I have like 10% of your post count and I have. I guess I have spent more time reading than posting...
If you want to quit the forum, you just hit the little "X" on your browser. That's about all you can do. You can't delete yourself, you can't delete your posts. Why? It screws up the continuity of the site. Imagine if you deleted yourself just from this thread. It would be ruined. The thread wouldn't make any sense. Now multiply that effect by your 30,000+ post count. See? That's why.

But I see this type of post pretty often, and I can't believe how much some people think a bunch of random anonymous guys on a forum care if you post or not. If you do want to stay, great. If you don't, whatever. Take the drama to facebook.

In the top right of the text box, there are three dots. Click it. A drop down will appear with a diskette image and a down arrow to the right. Click it. Then select delete draft and navigate to a new page. Your draft will be gone
Just sign out, then you won't be able to post.

Let's say you typed up a nice lengthy post and you changed your mind.
Press Ctrl-A and then either Backspace or Delete.
You need to press Post reply or it won't get posted.
The new forum software is much better at not losing a post you already started on, even if you go somewhere else for a while.

The diskette shows up on my iPad, but even when I click “delete draft” if I try to post again my draft will be there. In other words it fails to delete my draft.
