My Mag light doesn't work all the time and I cannot figure how to take it apart-mainly removal of the internal snap rings to get the guts out. Anyone ever taken one completely apart?
This was given to me as a gift so no warranty.

I had one that the batteries corroded in. I could not get them out. I went to their website and saw a lifetime warranty on them. I called them so see about a corroded battery problem, as it per say was not a flashlight problem. They said send it in we will take care of it. I guess they have some kind of a deal that they worked with the battery manufacturers, that if their batteries are the problem, they take care of it. Either way, I sent in a flashlight, that when you took the back off, looked like a mess of acid. I got back a brand new looking one.

Good company to deal with.

Honestly, I doubt they get anything from any battery manufacturers. Companies with good customer service do it because the minor losses they take on returns are more than offset by the increase in goodwill.

I have sent several mini Maglites back for repair. the kind that use two AA batteries in them. They have always sent brand new, in the blisterpack, replacments back to me.

I have one of the LED mini Maglites. These have a serial number on them. I have sent this light back for repair three different times. Each time they send back the same light after repairs. The exterior is still scarred and scraped but all of the guts have been replaced.

I love these LED Maglights.

THREE times?? And the LED's haven't been out that long. What's been the problem? Just failure or are you dropping them from 20'?
