How do you fix a socket with flaking chrome?(or do you...)

The Harbor Freight vibratory cleaner wouldn’t touch that flaking chrome.Seems like one of those vibrating tumblers would be good for knocking of the chrome and cleaning it up.

If you decide to try to “restore” it yourself, you might enjoy this video from Geoffery Crocker. He restores an old Stahlwille set that someone had ground down. Might work if you can brush/sand the chrome off and you just want to give something a shot.

As are some GM oil pressure sensors.IIRC, the anode rod is 1-1/16. BTDT.

I've never known a Snap On truck to NOT warrantee something like this nor be a stickler about where or who you got it from.I would just give it to my Snap On guy and he would give me a new socket. Thats what you pay the big bucks for.
