Look heres my style,
i prefer to have whole service sets in Boxes, cause if you have to work on different things you can take the whole Box with you and have all with you :)
Still i look for an good 3/8" Box but as long i dont have it for me a socket stand does a good job.

I have a mix of socket holders. I keep some mech time saver blocks to take sockets to the job but the bulk sockets are on Hanson trays.

If they dont come with a tray I make up these. This way I can tell if any have not been returned.

I like the snap on magnetic trays the socket sets have come in for the few years but they have a bait foot print. I like the extension trays as well but like someone said that's why they can sell you a bigger box leave your stuff in the bulky trays, run out of room, need to upgrade to larger box :D

Just got some Hansen trays for my 1/4" and 3/8" sockets. I like them pretty well, but was kinda surprised by the almost flimsy anchoring of the hollow pins to the base. Will try to drip some epoxy down into and around them for peace of mind. Looking to get Lisle trays for my 1/2" sockets soon.

mishmash of stuff, mostly hansen trays with an odd HF SAE tray and some odd socket holders screwed to a piece of wood for torx/hex/invert torx and some impacts

Here is my mess. Wish I could find another red metal tray like this one. Have had it for over 30 years, but no name on it.

Cheapie HF socket trays. I looked at the Hansen trays, but I they were too tall to fit in the drawer I wanted to put them in. The HF trays are shorter and worked out quite well.

I've been using trays in the service cart, but wanting to switch to rails after using them with my impacts.

Much easier to just grab a rail full of sockets when climbing under something instead of crawling in and out to grab a couple of sizes at a time.

If you do want to get rid of them i would buy them from you. Ive wanted to try the post racks for a while but haven't got round to it.
I have the 4 rails riveted to a carry plate type. Its good but I get a bit annoyed by not being able to identify the socket until I've pulled it out. .

Here's mine. I use Hansen socket organizers. My hex and torx drivers are in a snap-on driver tray and my extensions and oddballs are in plastic 3"x9" bins found at bed bath n beyond All of this is sitting on industrial carpet from lowes

I use Hansen trays for my shallow and deep 1/4" and 3/8" drives. Still looking for a better solution for my deep impact 1/2" drives. They're on a rail, which I don't like, because there's not enough height available to stand them up and not enough space left in the box for a Lisle. Looking for a single deep (not shallow+deep) tray for 1/2" drives.

Here is mine. Its a shame I have use (waste) another drawer for Rats & extensions.

U could always downsize?? Then u could fit ur ratchets in there. That's what I did.
For example I pretty much never use SAE sockets so I got rid of pretty much all my 1/2" drive chrome SAE sockets and basically only have 3/8" drive SAE stuff now
