How do you have your bins labeled?

Blue painters tape and a sharpie for now.

I'd like to get a label maker for smaller bins (like the flip down container for screws/nuts/small connectors/etc, but not in a hurry)

Get one from Costco, BJ's, or even Sams club. You will give your left nut if you buy from staples...

Or even Amazon (gasp). I just picked this one up for our new office and it's pretty damn nice. Lots of options and the total cost was about $80 with two kinds of tape. Whatever you get I would recommend Brother P-Touch as the tape is the most readily available. Off-brands tend to have you searching, and possibly paying, more for replacement tape.

Mine was cheaper then that plus gave me 2 or 3 tapes.
