How do you install a 100 amp EV charger outside?

Look up "RV Pedestal" - that should get you started.. (The EV charger is 2x the amps though)

You need to tell us where outside you want the charger. On the wall of the house vs. out on the side of the driveway is different as far as wiring methods. MHF is a direct bury cable if going out underground.

There are lots of write ups on installing Tesla chargers over on the Tesla forums. They are almost always "indoors". The short answer is that you're going to have to create some sort of enclosure for the charger that is outdoor rated and designed to deal with whatever heat (if any) those chargers put off. At 100 amps, they're going to be hard wired.
I see there is a box on Amazon that people are using for this purpose. I cannot to attest that this is the "right" box for this purpose.
IMHO, you'll need a pad or otherwise ground secured unistrut for the enclosure, appropriate wiring (likely in PVC conduit), and an outdoor rated transition to contain the wire/transition to the charger enclosure...
I also suggested you take a look at RV pedestals for an idea of how people put stand alone electrical outdoors, but RV pedestals aren't 100Amp and RVs don't need to be hardwired. Could you live with 50A? Because that's probably easier as there are a lot of outdoor rated pedestals for RVs and lots of options in that amperage. You'd still have to enclose the charger itself.

You need a 100 amp ev charger install kit. Make sure you get the one specified for 400 amp service and several yards.

This is nonsense.
Those battery operated chargers are a bear for maintenance. They use several hundred thousand double A's.
There are many chargers sold that are for exterior use. I have one on my house.

What is great about that solution is they can also charge their phones by leaving them laying in the driveway overnight.

I don't think it's non-sense that most factory EV chargers are not outdoor rated.
I didn't know I was suggesting a battery operated charger. I was suggesting an enclosure.
A reference to a Tesla "outdoor rated" charger (or compatible) might help the OP. If there is a generic, 100A capable, outdoor rated charge - a reference to that might be really helpful.
