How do you notify someone in a post

How do you notify someone in a post? I believe it has happened to me and I've seen my member name preceded with a + sign. Just trying to figure out how to do that?

@Leviton just add the @ symbol before the name as you are typing your post. The forum software should pull up names as you type.
