How do you remove tire dressing from concrete

Trying to prep my floor for epoxy and I have degreased with Zep and acid etched but it's still there.....any ideas?

I have had good luck making a paste with oxy clean. Let it sit for about 20 minutes and the rinse with boiling water. May need a little scrubbing. It should do the trick.

Unfortunately that is not the case and many people are mislead about what acid does. Acid etching concrete will not remove oils. The first step in acid etching concrete is to clean up oil stains first. The acid reacts with the free lime in the concrete to break down the surface of the concrete. It does not react with oil.

Agree with Shea, I'm going to try some lemon soft scrub tonight and I'm renting a diamabrush from HD in the morning, my next question would be isn't the tire dressing still gonna be there after I grind ? Do I need to degrease again after the gring since the pores will be opened up? Or am I over thinking this thing?

I've had sucess with a plain cement , I poured some cement powder on the stain/oil and rubbed it in the area. It seems to absorb oil, grease etc with wicking action. I also had good luck with cat litter ground in, any liquid detergent will eventually break down and dissolve the oil. It takes time...

You will need to add some kind of absorbant with it and make a paste with little bit of water. Work it in and then let it sit overnight (or until it dries off completely). Then scoop it up.

I bought some oil stain remover from the local janitor supply store. It is made by 3M and comes in a small jar, maybe about 2-3 oz. Looks like something my wife would use on her face. Smooth pink cream in a jar. I'll get the product number when I get home. I have not used it yet, but plan to before I paint my shop floor. The cost was just over $30!

Possibly even baby powder.
