How do you replace comfort grip handles?

When you guys switch from soft to hard handles, do you have to apply any adhesive to the shank before applying the handle? Little worried about the handle sliding off during use. I have a 3/8" flex head that I would like to switch to a hard handle.

I just did a few of my comfort grips on my 3/8 ratchets either the hard handles you will need to drill I believe 11/32 bit all the way down almost to end of flutes
And you will need to cut off about an inch of the chrome shank since comfort grips are longer than hard handles

You can aswell use screwdriver handle and drill it out but handle is a lot bigger than 3/8 ratchet hard handles
