How Do You Replicate This Sheet Metal Bend?

This is one of my favorite types of vintage trailers.

I can replicate the basic trailer no problem including the basic sheet metal siding, but I'm curious as to how they created the wrap around top railing bend on the sheet metal? :headscrat?

Only thing I come up with its welded round stock all around.

If it has a wire inside it's a wired edge, if it's hollow it's a false wire edge. There are machines that can form them but for a one off doing it by hand will work. Instead of me getting long winded how about from one of those things called "pages from a book" Tried to add one pdf but too big.

7 pages here.

Those rolled edges on pickup boxes were always a mystery too. Easy enough on a straight run, I guess, but those curves you show are pure magic.

Would love to see how that was done.

Neat trailer BTW. Thanks for that.

The wire edge method is damn slick but it's got to take a **** load of practice and dialing in a technique to maintain the radius / corners of the sheet metal and not fight it straightening out on you. Personally I'd opt for tubing and hammer the roll like I did with these fenders. It was pretty easy and didn't require any super special tooling or talent :)
