The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
Front to rear with Radials, the full size spare gets intermixed on the right (passenger) side. The important thing is to keep the forward rotation the same direction - we had someone flub up my work truck when I went to summer tires last year; those lasted about 800 miles and bubbled, got lumpy sidewalls, and 2 blew out.

Back in the Bias days it was an X. Fronts to the backs, backs to the cross corner fronts.

My tires tend to get noisy real fast if I cross rotate them. I think the cords take a set in a given direction, and when you reverse their direction they distort the tire and prematurely wear.

Well, when I remember to do it, I just go front to back. I'm not a car guy, so is it still recommended to re-torque after 100 miles or so?
