Depends,..if I want a set of leads that go with my Fluke Multimeter I roll them up neatly and store them in the carrying case pocket. If it is at my bench I leave them plugged in and ready.

If I just want to store my other leads I use a Pamona Rack or simular one I have made and let them hang on the rack.

I also have bags and organizers I keep my many adaptors in. And I have a few.

I always leave mine in the meter and just loosely coiled inside the drawer ready for the next time i need to use them.

Don't wrap them around the meter, I keep mine in the Fluke box under the meter, but extras are in an old blowmolded tool box coiled loosly. Would a slightly used virgin work, Redwrench? Lots of those around...

Yes, but "pre owned" is what I see them being called lately.:D

On the theory that test leads break off at the plug where they flex the most, I use mine like this, so they can't flex. Takes up some extra length too:

It's a Fluke 79 I bought many years ago.

I keep mine plugged in the meter ready to go, they are cheap and I have loads of spares stored in a plastic case.

I keep my scope leads in a Zip Lock bag like the other guy (this works great).

Don,t throw away old meter leads that get damaged, just repurpose them with bits of old wiring harness plugs and stuff to make testing easier.

Consumables IMO, I,m quite happy when they break as it means I can add another new specialised test lead to my collection :)

I just read in my owners manual to put them in the back lead holder and wrap the wires around the meter. (Fluke 289)

I use HF velcro ties and keep the leads with the meters in their cases or in small drawers on my diagnostics cart.

anyone know those racks for hanging drive belts by the sleeve? i found an extra one and bent the taps out at about a 45 degree angle, then hang the leads in sets in the slots. i'd take a pic, but it's not hanging right now because my new job doesn't have a place to mount them :(
