I use a large metal oil barrel, the kind you buy at Rual King or at a scrap yard. You can put a lid on it for small scraps if stored outside or if stored inside you can store longer pieces in it. Or you can simply take it outside and put some old oil in it and a match and light it. It wouldn't be scrap wood, it would then be called burnt wood.
