I used to keep all my hammers on a rack I made out of 2 2 foot sections of conduit and it works pretty well. But it has been overflowing with hammers and since I actually started cleaning junk out of my crapsman 44", I decided put my lesser used stuff/that falls through the rack in one of the drawers. I got ball piens, deadblow, stanley fubar, plastic mallet, double ended mallet in there. pics here http://imgur.com/a/kEBcm

It's not as impressive as some of the nice collections posted here, but I haven't mastered the fine art of beating on stuff, so I don't have a legitimate need for much more than what I already have. If money was no object, I'd redo everything with the Estwing versions:

Flat, in two drawers. I just got a few more though, so it's time to reorganize. I can't stand how much space they're taking up.

Finished this up a couple months ago. From some scraps, and it works very well. Not really room to grow, which for my collection is probably just a good thing...

I don't have very many hammers now. Several years ago I gave about half of my hammers away, they were doubles. I used a left-over section of store display to hold the hammers I want to keep.
Tom Lipton of OX TOOLS on You Tube had an impressive collection of hammers.

I took a piece of strap iron drilled quarter-inch holes in it, beat the flux of of some quarter inch welding rod and TIG welded the rod on the backside

Geees after seeing some of these pics I think some of you guys have to many hammers :headscrat

I only have like 30 hammers

Some hang by the bench vice, 16oz ball peen, 2 lb brass hammer, small drilling hammer. Some stay right on my tool pouch and in my tool bucket 16, 20 and 22 oz rip and claw, 5 lb sledge, others are with the yard tool like the 8-12lb sledges.

A few are in drawers too...mostly rubber mallets, more ball peens, multiple dead blows and some brass and copper head hammers. :dunno:

Yes, I have a drawer for less common more specialized stuff I would not rather have damaged. I am not super fussy about most tools, I am used to other people using my stuff. I stash a few things that are more suseptable to damage.

Wow, most of you are really organized and have a multitude of beaters.

Most of mine are kept where I use them.
