On their back or on their side?

I know this is a stupid question - I think it is funny that some people keep their ratchet stored facing down so that Snap-on faces up :)

Me - I just plop em in the drawer on their back.

drive side up! One of the techs at work has all his hanging on magnetic racks/bars lining the inside of the hutch on top of his box. Kinda cool and makes for quick access as well as keeping ratchets out of the drawer.

All jammed in a big **** ball in my road box. Some on their backs, some on the side, some face down.

Never the same way twice. Variety is the spice of life.

Drive side facing up in order from 1/4, 3/8 to 1/2. All of the heads have to sleep on a blue shop pillow so the RLL does not leak out all over the drawer liner.

On their sides as well - no RLL seepage either - well VERY little it just keeps the drive glistening...

Mine keep saying, "Mommy can we have a new brother or sister". Hubby keeps saying, "we can't afford anymore". I keep saying "one more won't hurt"

Mine are all stored chronologically according to purchase in a counter clockwise position starting at 12 noon and with the selector and oriontation in the drawer in the exact position that they were in when I first layed eyes on them, and no one ratchet can ever touch another ratchet or the sides of the drawer.

Snap on F80 lays on its side, snuggled up against the Gearwrench 3/8. I think the F80 is pregnant and will be providing me with some half-breed 1/4 ratchets in the next few weeks.:lol_hitti

Moose am I seeing a new "Moose Snap on Custom" breaker bar in that last pic?First time I've seen a bent handle breaker bar!

I took the ratchet head off it to put on a long 3/8" breaker bar (with orange handle) to make a long flexd head. The bent handle just needs a new plastic handle put on, as the one on it is too big and i'll find a ratchet head to put on it. I've yet to use it as a breaker bar, but it might do the job some time. :)

Yeah, I've got the ratchet **** going in my tool box too. All my sockets and drive tools are in the top of my Craftsman box, under the lid. There's a couple of divided partitions up there: Extensions on the left, sockets in the middle, breaker bar and speed handles in the middle/back, ratchet **** on the right side. Though they all face the same way--handle toward me.
