Hello, I am new here but have been reading the posts and this is a great place.

I had this Samurai on craigslist and traded for a Corvair. This guy builds legends cars and has a 50 x 100 in the back yard. I said that I wished I had a shop 1/4th of that size and he showed me a 30 x 50 on a flatbed that was never erected. He wants $3500 for it and I said sold!

The only problem that I see is that he is second owner and has no drawings. Not a problem to get them drawn as the company that I work for has cadd and structural engineers. But first I need to get it home, shake it out and see what it really is.

Anyway this is a great site! Thanks for having me.

Mike

Drawings? Drawings? We don't need no STINKIN' drawings:D

With this crowd most of us would "shake it out" and the next thing you know, it'd be built!

Yes, but I would like to know for sure the building size so I can size the pad and get the in floor hydronics designed. I could get to a few parts on the flatbed to figure it's a 30' or 32' wide, but the length is only what the guy was told. The size is more than second hand info being the future 3RD owner without drawings. Not too many years ago in this town you didn't need soil engineering and permits to slap one up. It's a requirement now.

If everything is there, it sounds like a decent price.

The siding, ridge cap and all needed is there. One thing I can't figure out is this. Thought it was a ridge vent, but strange configuration..

Any idea what that is or how it goes into the building?

Thanks

Columns are bar joist type. The job number is on the steel, but need to find manufacturer. That would may this alot easier for for permit process.
