just loosen the bolt and the square tubing and plate that the vice is mounted to slides right up and off if u need the roomI dont always put a signature but when i do it goes here

Mine's bolted through the metal top of my bench. The entire metal top sits on 2" lumber and there is a 1/4" metal plate underneath the vice.

Mines about to get bolted through the top and secured with 4 off M14 bolts, my bench has a 3mm steel top over 2" timber and has a steel plate underneath specifically for a vise mount. Just waiting on the bolts to be delivered as I couldn't find anyone locally with them. Receiver tube style tow hitches are illegal in the UK so I don't have easy access to them otherwise I would have considered a hitch mount.
