how long do threads stay on the forum?

I have some threads from way back in the day and i can't seem to find or search for them. are they archived or just gone?

I think they stick around forever, unless the mods had to delete it for some reason. It's not uncommon to see people reviving threads that are ten years old or more.

And even longer in Google's servers.

They probably stay around many years unless some pruning is done.
