When buying them take note... Some stubbys aren't very stubby! Those tiny HF ones Danglerb mentioned are handy and very stubby if i remember right.

Not too often. At work I use an electric screw gun and at home I've found an 8" long screwdriver to be the one I use the most.

i use them only in tight spaces; i found that they work pretty good on some screw type hose clamps

I use them once in a great while.
What I find infinitely more useful are the full-length handle/stubby shaft screwdrivers. They let you get a full load of hand twist on them. I've used them to break lose Model A screws that weren't removed since one of Henry's employees installed them 80 years ago.

Stephenw,

Who is the manufacturer(s) of the red and blue stubby screwdrivers you posted on page 2?

Thanks,

Dave

These small things are very useful, be they regular flat blade or phillips. You'll be thankful when things are tight. I forgot the double ended ones, a bent L type with double phillips or straight blade, STUFF one has to have!!!

they are a must for any dashboard or instrument panel work, where other things ar in the way

also use the stubby slotted for air compressors on the machine screws again where theres a small window of acces to the fastner
