Looking at buying a gas heater for a larger (bit shy of 1500sqft) garage with 14' ceilings and looking for recommendations in terms of BTUs
The particulars: Live at 6500 ft elevation in mountains but sunny area with walls & garage door insulated and heated living space above the garage -- such being the case w/out heater the garage has yet to go beyond freezing (in second winter living there). My goals are to make sure the garage doesn't go below freezing, maybe warming it up (probably 50 degrees max) with ability to increase a bit when working in the garage (perhaps 60 degrees).
Fortunately is all pre-plumbed by builder, got my gas, mount, vent, thermostat wire, electric.
While BTUs is primary question also value thoughts on particular makes / models.
Thanks!
