With so many rechargeable tools, it seems everyone has a proprietary charger. How many different brands and types of chargers do you now have?

I have Milwaukee 12v and 18v, as well as the 80v Kobalt for the yard tools.

Since the 18v charges the 12v, it's the only one out.

I have DeWalt 20v and Milwaukee M12. I do have multiples of each, but only two different battery platforms. In the past, I had a different battery type for every tool, which got annoying after a while keeping track of it all.

Two currently, Craftsman C3 and Milwaukee M12/M18

I built a battery adapter so I can use my Milwaukee M18 batteries on my Craftsman C3 stuff (string trimmer, leaf blower, sawzall) Whenever that C3 pack dies I'll still be able to use the gear I have.

My first was for a Makita drill with long battery in the handle. Can't remember the voltage, but bought it in 1985.

I've got 3 chargers:
- DeWalt 20v 4-port rapid charger
- Ryobi 18v 6-port supercharger
- Milwaukee M12 4-port sequential charger

So much nicer than having 4+ individual chargers for each platform, or having to continually swap batteries. They all wall mount so I have them stacked on top of each other on a wall.

I started out thinking I was only going to use the DeWalt platform, but there are just too many advantages to using the best from multiple platforms.

DeWalt I see as top quality and buy most of my tools in this line that require either high end power or accuracy.

Ryobi I got into because of the value for tools you don't need great accuracy necessarily. Their OPE is top notch. Various styles of sanders are a great deal with green too. Plus they have some unique / uncommon tools like their inflator that blows up everything from tires to mattresses.

M12 because they have some great unique tools, and for other tools I want light weight instead of max power. DeWalt's 12v line has been lacking for years. The M12 ratchets and stubby impacts are awesome. And the M12 screwdriver is probably my most used power tool.

They all have periodic deals where they basically give away free batteries and chargers in packages with tools, so it's very easy to get into new lines and open yourself up to getting the best of all worlds.

I have 3 basic brands (but variations)

My Milwaukee Multi's and M12 only (for most everything I use now)

My old Makita NiMh /Nicad's 18v and an old 12v that max's out at 14.4 (for two different drills and a 6 1/2" circ saw)

My HF 18V ( for a 5 3/8" circ saw...the ******* just won't die :D )

2 different brands. All my cordless tools are ryobi with the exception of the milwaukee fuel impacts in 1/2 and 3/8 inch drive. I have 1 charger for the milwaukee tools and 3 for the ryobi tools so a total of 4 chargers.

Except for my cordless Dremel tool, all of my cordless tools are Milwaukee M12 Fuel. For heavier work, I have Milwaukee and Dewalt corded tools.
3 chargers. Although I never do, I could charge 3 batteries simultaneously not sequentially.

1 for the Vette, 1 for the HD, 1 for the 2 RV batteries, & 1 for the spare Arlo batteries.

Edit: Oh and some 20v chargers for my HF batteries.

Currently only the 18V/36V Makita platform. If I go with a 12V system I'll add the Milwaukee to it but no immediate plans for that

Just the old 18 volt Dewalt stuff. I'm going to buy a new battery string trimmer soon though, so two. Still undecided on brand.

Some random USB adapters for lights and other..

No proper package for everything from one brand for me.

Obviously a Ctec for the car kicks around too.
