How many prybars are enough?

I started out w/ the gearwrench adjustable lady foot set(8,10,16). Then I bought a craftsman(gearwrench )adjustable lady foot in 24 inches. Then I got a fixed lady foot w/ alignment end in 18. Then I got the craftsman 3 piece red handle set(8,16,25). Then I got the craftsman red handle 31. Then I bought various Richard straight and curved prybars so I could have the striking handle. The Richards are 8-25 inches. Then I bought the mayhew 40024 60 incher. I just ordered a mayhew dominator 42. I also have a otc 12 adjustable lady foot and a small craftsman screwdriver prybar in cars tool bag. Not to mention various construction prybars(the deluge stainless steel 24 is a beaut). I think I'm done. Is there anythibg I'm missing.

You also need striking pry bars in all those same sizes. Then there are heavy duty versions of the bigger bars with bigger striking surfaces. You could get crazy and get them in different colors. How about a 48"?

The Wilde 12", 17" and 25" pry bars that I ordered from Harry Epstein recently arrived. In my opinion, that was a good purchase!

I have survived quite well with six of them.
The Snap-On five piece set and a four foot ( ? ) Matco.
I have never needed any thing else.

Pry bars are one thing I can honestly say I feel I'm fine with and don't really feel the need to have more. I have the craftsman 3 piece striking pry bar set and a green snap on mini bar. I actually use the mini snap on one the most.

I have thought about a lady foot tho for sometime in te future

12 ga. solid copper wire un-stripped, and bend to a suitable (Tall) "U" then bend both "legs" straight up, then double over, and hook that on your roller's pull handle, then drop the pry bar in the loop of the "U"

There is no such thing. I have too many pry bars to count. I have my eye on that short curved snap on bar for brake jobs. There was a nice orange one on the truck the other day that would match my set might look into it this week.

We were installing some heavy equipment recently so I brought some set up wedges and pry bars to the job. The engineer in control was getting frustrated trying to get the alignment perfect of a 6'x6'x6' 1000lb plus component we were mounting on a carriage using a small gantry we set up on location because of the low overhead. I brought out my pry bars and he quipped "those kind of tools scare me" but I told him they were great for tweaking heavy objects. He then scoffed "I think you are under estimating the amount of friction a 1000lb object has." So after he was stumped after raising it and lowering it countless more times trying to set it down just right (it wasn't rigged right either) one of the other higher ups told me to show em what I could do. I was able to catch a lug on the equipment 1/2" off the track with the curve of the 18" bar and gently nudge the equipment a 1/16" at a time into perfect alignment in about a minute. No other comments from the peanut gallery but I bet on his next installation he calls for the crew to have some pry bars on hand.
