How many sets of screwdriver do you have? do you always buy one if you bump into a good deal? is there such a thing as not too many?

Two. The big 20something piece craftsman set I bought in the early 1990s when I was just starting out, and my beloved set of Snap On hard handles. In between a Snap On ratcheting screwdriver covered 95%+ of my needs, and is still the first one I grab unless it wont fit. I find I don't use screwdrivers much anymore. Many fasteners are torx, allen, etc now.

I have purchased 1 set of CM Screwdrivers back when I was a teen, since then, I have adopted many stray screwdrivers through a series of auctions, garage sales and flea markets. I now own so many screwdrivers, i could likely stock 3 hardware stores.

I purchased a set of Stanley screwdrivers a couple of years ago for next to nothing after rebate..... Those were given to my grandson that Christmas, now he has the tool bug as well.

I have bought 4 sets of the years, none have survived complete except for the craftsman pro set. The 2 basic craftsman sets are missing a couple each, and the neiko pro set has one missing and two broken. Rest of my drivers where night as singles.

Whay to many to organize. Most are in a 4ft wide buy 4 in deep drawer that is full, plus some hanging at a work bench and some in a service cart. Mostly older Mac red hard handles, so org hard handles,so red soft instincts (my fav). With some craftman,Stanley and witte & hf thrown in the mix.

I'd like to find a set of the old wht/grn sk screwdivers

I think I have seven sets of screwdrivers and eighth one I want to buy. I have already run out of space in that drawer.

I think one actual seti bought that is light in the torx and Allen heads, and a bunch of miscellaneous "sets" with a couple Philips and flat heads. Also have a bit driver I use a lot and when there is room I just use my drill on whatever setting I think it's appropriate for the task. I could stand to get a good set, but at this point it's mainly for having multiple lengths and sizes in a standardized set so I know when I misplaced something instead of guessing if I actually had it to begin with. Lol

Think two, a wiha precision set and a Mac torx set. The rest are the left overs from other sets that haven't been worn out or given away.

90% of the time I grab a Lenox 9in1 or Milwaukee 11in1. But my work ranges from automotive, heavy equipment, hvac and industrial maintenance.

While I don't normally believe in having multiples of a type of tool, I sort of break that rule with screwdrivers (but not excessively so). I have one clean set, one dirty at (but I clean them both), an electricians set, an electronics set, and a precision set. They are Matco, Snap On (hard handles), Klein, Snap On, and Wiha.

I have a large Craftsman set in my tools chest and another in my "road box". The wife has a smaller set of Craftsman in her tool box.

I am building a set of Weha Standard Precision screwdrivers in my computer tool box; Torx T10 and down and Philllips P1 and down.

One master set from Proto, a set of Whia precision screwdrivers, and a Snap On ratcheting screwdriver. I have no use for any more than that. Screwdrivers aren't like wrenches or sockets where you sometimes need to use two of the same size at once.

......I lied, I need to get some JIS screwdrivers for my Honda's.

was gifted a set of Mastercraft comfort handles (rubberized grip), I believe about 40pc total. Honestly I hate them, as they are not the easiest to clean, and always tend to feel grimy if they ever get exposed to fluids. Because I don't tend to use a whole lot of screwdrivers on a real regular basis (my hard handled Great Neck handles most of what I need day to day) I figure the way to go is to just pick up the odd hard handled screwdriver (or set if it's a really good price) as needed until I can totally phase out the soft grips. especially for the larger sizes I would consider it almost imperative that I make sure to factor in either a hex shank or at the very least a hex near the handle as a benefit when working on large screws (such as mounting screws on the transmission of a Sears Sub. Tractor, my current project).

Other than the 40pc set, I have the great neck 4in1, a pair (long and stubby) 7in1 Master crafts (Christmas gift, basically junk), and the odd old Fuller or Stanley that I have collected from past years (mostly either found in odd places or hand-me-downs)

1 set of Craftsman, consisting of different styles some of which have come from various garage sales and flea markets over the years.

1 set of Snap-On I got off Craigslist for a far too reasonable price.

1 sets of Snap-On I bought new off the tool truck.

1 set of Snap-On I bought off Craigslist with broken handles and I sent them in for warranty and got a brand new set.

1 set of Harbor Freight that was a "free gift" with the coupon.

1 set of Harbor Freight that I bought as a cheap set to keep in my truck.

Guess I had more that I thought...

The first screwdriver set I bought was a 26 pc. Craftsman set over 10 years ago. I got a Milwaukee set last year to kind of replace the worn Craftsman pieces (really just wanted an excuse to get the ECX screwdrivers for electrical work).

Earlier this year I found a number of Craftsman Professional screwdrivers as they were being discontinued to keep in the garage. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of them and prefer the standard set.

Thanks to this forum and the review woodstockva did, I'm tempted to buy a set of the Wera screwdrivers with the laser tips and selling off the Craftsman Professionals.

That puts me at 3 full sets, oh, and a basic Craftsman set in each car (phillips/slotted/torx), so... 5 sets?

Alot. Wish I could sell them off and buy all snap on but I don't have that sort of cash to dump in screwdrivers.

One set in my drawer. Never understood while people have 100+ screwdrivers. You ask them about it and they say they use every one of them.....BS

ANYWAYS...I have a snap on set which I added a couple larger sizes to and then I have a couple hf and craftsman flatheads for opening paint cans, prying out small seals and digging dog **** out of my shoe soles
