daily driver truck box.
race truck pelican 1550 case full with everything to fix a down truck in the desert.
2 remote pit stop set ups for racing
construction job box case
home case.

All set ups have complete socket sets, metric and standard as well as wrenches, hand tools, screwdrivers, pretty much everything but specialty tools.

So, do i have a addiction or am just OCD? and how many kits do you guys have.

I cant say I have 2 many sets other than my daily driver toolbag or my work box. Nor am I ****, because for example, my impact 1/2 mm rail is mostly ampro sockets with one snappy in it.

But my biggest problem is I accumulate too much junk. Like fuses, spare bolts, extra bleeder screws.... All the years working on **** professionally, its truly amazing. I even have a 4wd axle actuator in box....:shocking:

Also I love flea markets and yard sales. Me and the old battleaxe frequent them. I buy buckets of sockets for like 10 bucks.

Come on now...how many 3/4 sockets do i really need?

Or 10mm...etc???:lol_hitti

In my DD truck: Costco Crescent set, and another bag of random tools not included in the set.
In my offroad truck: Craftsman 256pc set, other specialty tools needed to work on the truck, and some camping related tools like shovel/ax.
In my wife's car: $25 Target tool set.
In the house: small toolbox with stuff like allen keys, screwdrivers, tape measure, pliers, level. Basically stuff to put together an ikea cabinet.
Everything else is in the garage.

Am I allowed to count the cresenthammer, pliers and a couple of screwdrivers in each rig as a 'tool setup'? If so then lots. If not then 3.

I have several sets

the basic hand tools are in a snap on top and bottom box

the specialty tools are in a MAC tech 1000
on top of the mac is a craftsman mid chest with my general use drill bits
and on top of that is another craftsman mid chest with my taps and dies

on the other side of the garage is the HF 41'' box with the small lathe on it and filled with mill and lathe tooling

near that is a craftsman 41'' bottom box with a mid chect on it, that hold all my precision measuring tools and the mid chect holds the general tools that I would use with the mill and lathe as well as some misc stuff to have on that side of the garage

I have a blue napa top and bottom box that holds my saw blades, jigs, accessories and other woodworking tools

26' craftsman bottom box that holds my sanding supplies and is the base for my belt/disc sander

and then I have a craftsman pro=set top and bottom at my dads house so I have tools there when we do work at his place.
he has 2 craftsman 26'' boxes top-middle-bottoms and are full of his stuff

There's my primary rollaway (which has been supplemented by old kitchen cabinets until I decide to upgrade to a wider, deeper toolbox) that has a huge and complete assortment of tools, essentially two each of all the basic items. These are all the Proto, Wright, S-K, Williams, Channelock, Blackhawk, etc. As well as the basic stuff, these include all the wrench sets other than combination wrenches, all the 3/4"-drive stuff, the pullers, the engine assembly tools, the really small tools, the special-purpose tools, etc. I keep them clean, mostly using them for assembly work; cleanliness is essential when working with engines, especially diesel engines and fuel injection equipment as I enjoy doing. The absence of peeling chrome and other FOD is critical. These tools also constitute my "arsenal" of USA-made professional tools just in case World War Three engulfs the world, or Stanley and Danaher finally assimilate every tool brand in America and send production to Nigeria.

Then there's a secondary rollaway, with only the most basic stuff. You know, 10-19mm and 3/8-3/4. This one goes out into the driveway, maybe gets used for disassembly of filthy old parts for rebuilding, and contains all the items that are appropriate for loaning out to friends and neighbors. These are all the third-tier (behind the two primary sets that stay in the garage) tools, mostly Danaher stuff including Allen, K-D, and Craftsman. These get used the hardest but I don't feel bad if I break or lose something from here. This contains the stuff that a professional technician would keep on their service cart.

Then there's the field box - 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2"-drive metric socket sets with ratchets, extensions, and breaker bars, two full sets of combination wrenches from 8mm-19mm, slip joint pliers, needle nose pliers, water pump pliers, a 6-in-1 screwdriver, ph1 and ph2 screwdrivers, a metric hex bit set, a torx bit set, a tiny little cheap multimeter, a prybar, a 16oz. ball pein hammer, and a flashlight. This currently lives in the trunk of my old diesel car that has nearly 500,000 miles on it. I changed the torque converter in this particular car in a storage unit parking space using only these tools. Brands represented in here include Allen, Craftsman, Jensen, Pittsburgh, and a couple others. This box and these tools are actually my favorites, there are some good stories tied to them and they have really enabled me to help myself in some situations that otherwise would have really sucked. The box itself is an ancient, rusty, warped, bent, and dented Vermont American 18" hip-roof box with one removable tray that I salvaged from my friend's recycle bin. It is packed to the gills with these items. I'd like to assemble some smaller field boxes, one for each car in the fleet, with sizes specific to the individual car.

I've got a 42" RemLine that I am outfitting the best that I can. This is my home garage setup. My garage bench has plenty of storage space that I hope to fill up too.

My roadbox/junkyard attack box is equipped to save the world at a moments notice. More than likely, I use it to grab parts at the junkyard or help a friend that's broken down somewhere. This box also comes into the house during the winter to aid in home improvement projects. Great box to take to Grandma's place to do small repairs for her or to help out a neighbor.

A cheapo socket set and a few other tools inhabit my daily driver. Two small boxes get outfitted for roadtrips now.

I'm probably not as heavily armed as many of you, but I am amassing tools that meet my needs and skills. More skill gets rewarded with more tools!

One large 11-drawer box in the shop, one smaller one with tractor-oriented tools in the pole barn. One pretty complete road set in the back of the Outback. Wife has a pretty complete Craftsman 7 drawer in the garage. One "bucket box" with fencing tools and miscellaneous. I am installing a truck box in her 1/2 ton chevy this weekend and will look to outfit it soon.
