Had two plastic handled cheap ones that I quickly outgrew when I left my apartment and bought a house. I upgraded to a Snap On KRSC46, now starting my collection of stuff I can pass on to my future kids.

damn what kind of work do you do

I work on a farm doing maintenance and other shop work as part of my job. I'll admit the tools are more a want than a need for me, I could probably get by with just the tools in my road chest most days but I enjoy having the right tool for the job whenever possible.

I started buying tools early, with the exception of my KRL I probably bought ~95% of my tools before graduating High School!

Everything is currently spread around a couple of other boxes.. so....picture the cabinet on the right side full of cloths etc.... the polishers/buffers are in the drawer on the rollaway to the right of it & the polishes/compounds are currently in the refinishing cabinet. It's disorganized..

so some is here:
MFs005.jpg

some is here:

MFs003.jpg

& then there is also hand held tote tray thing with all sorts of stuff in it.

Seven roll cabs, three top chests, four small carry boxes and a canvas tool bag in the trunk of the vehicle.

And a partridge in a pear tree . . .

One Snap-On roller

One other big roller made of stainless steel with a wood top, drawers on the left, door with shelves behind said door on the right. (don't know the brand, but did see another member here had one just like it, except there was another set of drawers on the right side of the door as well as the drawers on the left side of the door.)

Both are well made and heavy, even when empty.

Tons of small(er) carry around boxes, about 10 of them. Some have tools in them, others are empty and are going to be sold soon to make room for more projects and whatnot.

The brands I can recall off the top of my head for the small(er) boxes...

1 Husky
4 or 5 Craftsman (the good old ones)
and a few more good ones that I just can't recall right now. Two of which are those neat old dual flip open lids... you know, with the socket container and the little shelves, kinda like a tackle box...

I know a few guys on my road with even more tools than I have.

I got more than i can count but cant compete with outlaw's list. My insurance man laughed when I asked about putting my house on as an adder to my shop til he came out and inventoried the tools. Shop now has more coverage than the house!!

(2) vidmar cabinets - general storage of materials and some tools
(1) hf 13 drawer chest - hardware
(1) c-man 26"w x 6't chest - majority of tools for house
(1) c-man 3 drawer metal box - empty except when hauled to a friends house for work
(1) c-man yellow plastic toolbox - duplicate sockets and wrenches

at work:
(1) large knaack box - to be shipped to jobsite for work (ship repair)
(1) c-man 41" top chest mounted on a shelf inside the jobox to organize my tools (mechanic by trade)
(2) 24" welder boxes - to be carried down to space working in to lock tools up at end of shift

the only box i bought new was the hf 13 drawer. love c-list! all of these boxes were bought/ acquired for a purpose, none of them are extra clutter laying around the garage.
