How many tools have you worn out through honest use?

Rayobi cordless drill let the magic smoke out. Replaced with a B&D that the drive clutch mechanism failed on. Replaced that with a DeWalt that is still going strong.

Sears Craftsman corded drill, back in the 1980s. Bearings wore out, so it squealed like a banshee. Still worked, though.

Used to go through channellock pliers, wearing out the teeth.

Pretty much any cutting edge tools, dikes, etc. Not sure if you’d call it abuse, the cutting edge wears out.

Screwdrivers, Torx bits, Allen wrenches, drill bits. Pretty much considered consumables, really.

Not like it's difficult, but I do so much electrical troubleshooting at work that I wore out a set of Fluke meter leads and probes.

Every single Craftsman Tool with a cord I ever owned. You name it, if it had a cord it's long dead.

1/2" Skil Hammer Drill

And the usual hand tools -a few ratchets, a couple of sockets, and a bunch of #2 Phillips screwdrivers. Several hammer handles, wood and fiberglass (Switched to Estwing, problem solved) Hundreds of impact driver bits. Pry bars, chisels, etc. And, most disappointing, a brand new Gearwrench 1/2" ratcheting tap driver. Lasted about 15 minutes with a 5/8" NF tap in mild steel.

The one tool I have been trying to assassinate for over a decade is my orange HF 4-1/2" Grinder. It has survived all attempts. It's like the Roadrunner and I'm Wiley Coyote...
