How many wrenches?

I bought four more sets of wrenches today and came to the conclusion that I have 104 wrenches (split perfect 50/50 SAE and Metric) that I actually use (not including my bins of old/random/forgotten/unoraganized tools). So like the "how many drills?" and "how many ratchets?", I ask "how many wrenches?"

I don't talk about my wrenches. They are special. I do know that I was running about $1000 per drawer 15 years ago. That's probably pocket change these days.

I have too many, and I somehow continue to buy more. I always find something to use them ALL for... and I'm always glad to have them, because i never know when I'm gonna need them.

As far as wenches, that's a whole 'nother thread...

I really can't tell. My wrench drawer is so crammed full and piled up I don't know. I keep everything organized but have neglected my wrenches. I just keep buying more, stuffing them in the drawer and digging when I need one. I was putting a new radiator in my wife's Camry the other night and decided then it was time to do something about my wrench mess. I feel a trip to Sears coming on!!!

I know I have more, but I have to remember where I put them...there's 30-40 more, just old ones I don't use much anymore that need to be cleaned and rechromed.

Has anyone actually had their wrenches rechromed? I wonder what the cost-analysis types would have to say about that. :headscrat
