I got a quote for 3000 for a new service, buried underground, 100 amp panel, 9 ceiling lights, outlets every 8' for my 50x64 shop. This was a rough estimate as they didn't know how much or how little they were going to be doing. They said usually they just do time and material for shops/garages. I picked up 18 8' led fixtures for my building. I think it was $1,300 for just the lights ($80 a fixture I think). They have a 50,000 hour warranty.

Not going to be able to help you much on the cost part. For what its worth don't think you would see much difference for a 200 amp service. You won't regret it.

My shop needed a wire welder, stick welder, air compressor, plasma cutter, lift,
AC etc. Everything I've added over the past 10yrs needs electricity.

I put Quad receptacles every 6 ft around the whole perimeter, never have to drag a cord. Best thing I ever did. My 2 cents from the been there done that club.

It all depends on cost of materials and how you plan on finishing the project. If you plan on doing what the guy above did with boxes every 6 feet, look in to bulk discounts and ordering supplies from greybar or mcmaster...

Home depot isn't going to give you a big price cut even if you hit their bulk pricing tier.
