How much do you think this Blue point toolbox is worth?

It's not the best picture, but SnapOn guy wants $995 for it. What do you guys think? cb0e575ccd145b1c8033fb75f7ea253b.jpg

It's probably worth that but I wouldn't want to pay that. He's probably figuring on financing it, 7 cash would get it I bet. That would be my top dollar anyway.

I'd pass on it at $400, myself. Might be a decent box, but nowhere near the resale value of a Snap On. There's a similar Snap-on for sale near here for $900, and I passed on it. It wasn't in quite this good of condition.

I'd pass on that, much better can be had for that price. And as mentioned the resale value isn't great on Blue Point boxes

+1 that I'd never pay $1,000 for that narrow stack Blue Point box setup.

Instead, watch CL and pay cash for wider SnapOn if that's what you're wanting.

No way would I want that BluePoint instead of . . . . . . .
. . . . . . THREE 44" US General toolboxes like the Steevo setup !! ;)

Yeah I thought the price was pretty steep for that setup, I might do some negotiating and see what he'll come down to.

I'd rather have a big cart for $800 than a single stack. Just my opinion. If you want it buy it

I bought a SO stack similar to that (don't remember the numbers) off my dealer used in very nice shape for $300 awhile back. Sold it to a buddy last year because I got my big box and had no use for it.

$800 is too much. That's the exact box I have. I'm outgrowing it for the most part. I paid $500 for mine if I remember.

I had that box for a short period. Its on par with snap ons heritage line of kra boxes. I don't think id go over $500 for a nice looking on.

Don't walk away, run. Between the size, (basically a craftsman setup) and the blue Point branding (aka sunnex/waterloo etc) that can be had for Sub $500 around here. And he wants $800+ in interest and taxes?! he's nuts. Keep looking my friend. Newer nicer bigger Snap-on Carts can be had for close to that price. And some full size boxes can be had for $1,500.

I am aware the quality comparison isn't there, BUT a Craftsman stack of those dimensions can be had for $100 bucks. I bought mine from a SnapOn truck because he didn't want it on the truck, but craigslist yields the same results weekly it seems. $100 or $1000? the choice is yours...

I agree with the others, buy a larger box for less, and for the love of all that is good please don't buy a brand new box. The used deals are too good to pass on.
