Hi,

Just looking to see what you think this box would be work.
It is 5 hours away from me but looks like a nice vintage box.
The person wants 250.00 for it.

I am thinking on 125.00 just because I would have to drive so far to get it.

Thanks

At that distance, I personally wouldn't go pick it up unless it was free. If it was down the street I'd give 200 for sure. It's probably worth every bit of that if it's all there and functional. I'm just not in great need of another roll away!

You mean 5 hours away as in 5 hours to, and 5 hours back?

Time and distance both give it a HUGE negative, too much to go wrong. Expecting to get it for half the asking price is the deal killer. Even if the seller is willing to agree to sell it to you and only you, the chances of them going ahead and selling it to the first better offer they don't have to wait 5 hours for is just too great.

If everything is in working order $250 is fine but $125 is even better. I'd call them up and explain if they give you the deal you are looking for then consider it sold and you are on the way. As long as you give them a definite answer and hit the ground running so they are not waiting days I think you can get a good deal.

If that price is for both boxes I'd grab that at $250 in a heart beat. That is assuming all drawers work properly and no major damage.
