Spending money to fix up your garage is more of an inventment, hopefully when you sell you get a return on it. S O tools for a diy, imo is a waste of money, but if you really like them go for it. I've got 18k in a car I don't need and can't drive cause it burns too much gas!

Wow.....I really like the site. My post was meant as a light hearted compliment but I've learned my lesson, I'll shut up.

you can't avoid it, man. people misread me all the time.
the comment i assume that was in reply to yours could have also been light-hearted.

This Website was a great find. It gave me some ideas, some that I have tried and some that I plan on trying. It also gave me a place to share my ideas and projects.
But...Yes. It has cost me some cash and some extra time that I would not have normally done without finding GJ.
Only in a Good way thou.
My only wish...That i would have found it, and I spend some time going through all the Threads...Before I built my Garage!

I found this site while I was starting to outfit my garage. It has COST me very little money, but it has cost me time between perusing the site and additional attention to detail in the garage. I would have never bothered to paint the garage cabinets if it weren't for this site. Then again, I wouldn't be able to function out there with the amount of tools and materials I have if it weren't for the ideas from this forum. It has saved me countless hours cussing at a poorly organized garage!

So far its saved me tons of money. Being able to research the correct ways to do things myself. Thus saving me from having to do them twice or pay somebody to do it for me.

I was pretty much on the way, on my own when I landed here. One of the great things about this forum are the examples so many have shared. You get a preview of what works and what doesn't and how to maneuver around obstacles. An added benefit that falls under the "saved me money heading" is some things I thought I would need/want, might be accomplished with half the work/expense. I count the inspiration to purge a lifetime of junk as a cost savings in time and money. I had a lot of "I can make this work for just a little time" projects. When all totaled, those projects were holding me back years.
