So he didn't give you a price first?

Ok as an example, here's how this goes down.

If he doesn't give you a price, and ask you how much you want it...

Start a $100

Then all of the sudden his first offer shows up.

Answer back with half of what he offered it to you. Then try not to meet in the middle rather skewed yourway.

He got that box from some guy who traded in for a box that he probably had on list price so he didn't really buy that anyway.

Good luck!

Im not sure yet? He "says" it's in good shape, and believe him, he will be bringing it by the shop Monday. I guess I also need help identifying it.

That the $1995 list price Cornwell 800 series cart. It measures about 44 x26 overall.

Do you like orange? I don't but, I'd still go $8-900 for it.

It's used, depreciation, stay below $1K. but that's just me, I'm cheap. :dunno:

900-1100 would be high for me as well. Again, that's not his stock and he gave some guy probably $800-900 "off" list price on something for that as well so he didn't really put any money out for that anyway.

Have him lug it to you're shop and unload it so you can take a really good look. Put out $700 cash, add another $100 if he balks.

Good luck, hope you get the kill!

500 tops don't over pay for the name that cart is sold by a lot of companies including napa

Not that cart. The 800 series is made by waterloo in mexico. Cornwell exclusive, no one else has it.

The other cornwell carts (700 and 100 series) hail from China, Peoples Republic of and resemble Homak branded carts sold by many people..

Yeah I haven't seen the big one sold by anyone else. It's a huge cart, many of our guys use it as their primary box/rollcart that they move bay to bay. You ain't going to get it for $500 (at least not from the dealer).

I'd bring cash and try to talk the dealer down to a little under $1k.

I do have the cash, but at the moment my truck account is at a $0 balance, might just pay it in 4/5 months.

You will probably be able to save 200-300 dollars right off the bat with an all cash deal.

Looks like a really nice cart if you like the color.

If you can not buy it with cash then you will have a tough time getting a good deal on it... personally it seems like you have the upper hand.... he wants to get rid of it and you can either buy this one or buy another one... Look in your local on line classifieds to see if you can find something similar for less $.

Orange is awesome. :rocker: It's a classic -- safety orange, racing orange. Red is kinda played out. Blue is nice but orange really makes a statement. I'd say offer like $800. If he objects, start complaining about the "lousy" orange color. Even though orange rocks.
