How much is this worth?

Hello, I recent got a Bernzomatic TS4000 Trigger Start Torch and a single full propane fuel cylinder free with some stuff I bought recently, I do not do any soldering with copper pipes so I want to sell it, how much should I get for the torch and an fuel? The torch goes for $50 new on amazon and about $44 used, but I would be selling it on craigslist so I don't know what would be a good price to list it at.

Anybody that would pay $44. for a used tool that costs $50. new needs their head examined. I bought one at a yard sale for $10. with a couple cyls., admittedly cheap. I'd think $20-$25 would be the max on CL.

have several. all were<$5 used. someone buys one for a job and never uses it again, ends up at the yard sale...someone needs one, they go to home depot, not craigslist...

btw, post some larger pictures if you can so we can see more detail...maybe there is some gold or platinum plating on that we missed?

If you don't already have a propane torch then you should keep it - you never know when it might come in handy. FWIW They're used for more than just soldering pipe!

If nothing else, you'll have for putting together copper airline system.

Really, I remember hearing some people around here saying that propane torches did not get hot enough to get that type of work done, I think I might keep it then, I listed it for $20 for shits and giggles since it would make the stuff I got it with free. If it doesn't sell I will keep it just in case for bolts

No doubt, I use mine almost daily but with map gas. Beats the heck out of breaking out the torch set for a one minute job. Funny parts is I can't ever remember doing any solder work with it, lol.

Anyhow to answer your question I guess maybe $20. I can't ever remember paying 40+ for these and I've bought several through the years.

Keep it. They are good for melting heat shink. Soldering cables and heating small bolts up. All kinds of stuff. The used value of these is dirt. New ones can be had with a full cyl for $35 on-sale at home depot. You won't get more then $20 for it.

Posting pictures here always ends horribly wrong for me, first is used to use imgur and I had people bitching because they did not want to open a link, now for some reason my phone is blowing up photos out of nowhere.

Heating up bolts to be loosened.
Softeneing gaskets between twoo metal parts.


As for the price, it depends upon how much it has been used.

It uses a piezo igniter that does have a wear life, just like a long grill lighter and a gas grille ignightor.

No replacemnt parts so it's use and toss.
If I knew it;s history, I;d say $20 if nearly new. $15 to $10 MAX if uses.

I can get them for $32 all day long.
A full propane tank like you show is $3.29 new in my world.

I've shifted plenty of stubborn track rod end nuts, wishbone nuts, droplink nuts & shocker nuts n bolts with my gas torch.
