How much paint

I'm getting ready to paint the interior of my block wall garage, about 550 sqft of block. It's been painted before.

Any idea much paint it should take, I'm sure lots more than a flat smooth wall.

Im a painter. If there isnt too many pin holes you should get 300 sqft per gallon. So two gallons.

Since it's block, you'll probably also want a thicker roller (nap) cover.

I found this paint in my basement, came with the house. it's about 10 years old but still liquid, there's 2 unopened cans and one almost full,

Would I be able to use this on the garage walls? Never heard of melamine paint.

should work fine. make sure it's stirred well or take it to a paint store & have them shake it for you.

Before going to the effort to paint 550 sq ft do two things.
1. Contact Sico customer service and find out if that product is suitable for previously painted concrete block and what the shelf life of that product is when stored in a basement? Is the basement damp or cold?
2. Perform a test. Paint a small area. Let it dry and test adhesion.

Its good. Slap it on. Youll know if its bad if the can stinks like rotten eggs. If not, its fine. "Shelf life" is mostly a marketing gimmick.
