That is a $200-250 box. Its small, dated, and a very hard to use set up. If your dealer will give you 1500$ on trade take it and run because he is a sucker.
Some one could wait and get a much much larger box for 800-1500, one that you do not need a ladder to see the top of.
You know, if that's anywhere near the quality of the Mac box that a local pawn shop kept all their tools in, then I'd say it's definitely worth $300-$400, if it's in good shape (and honestly, probably worth a bit more).
$300 new/retail gets you a slightly-higher-than-low-end imported Craftsman box from Sears (I'm basing that on the two different Craftsman "towers" that I bought in the past, consisting of a 5-drawer bottom chest, 3-drawer middle chest and "8-drawer" top chest (of which 3 of those drawers are the small drawers that combine to run the full width).
The Mac tower here is going to definitely be heavier-gauge sheet metal, likely ball-bearing slides, and just in general a better box.
If I was shopping for that size of a box, I'd call $300 a good deal on that, in a heartbeat.
But $1500? Not a chance when you see what you can get used.
Heck, this guy is asking $1350 for this:

Matching/keyed-alike Snap-On KR-550B and KR-555D toolbox.
66" high, 35.5" wide, 21.5" deep. Heavy as all get out. It's Snap On.
Steel slides, except bottom drawer which is ball bearing.
12 full-width drawers, 6 one-third-width drawers, and 1 "bulk" drawer that's one-third-width and three drawers high.
That Mac box is a 26" wide cabinet, and it might be 18"-20" deep.
It's not a $1500 box.
