How much ventilation for a compressor?

I am building a sounddamped box for my compressor and don´t know how much ventilation I need? To keep the sound at a minimum I don´t want put in to big ventiltionholes.

I can understand that this has to do which capacity the compressor have and the use. But maybe there is some "formula" or table where I can get som figures....

did u consider an intake muffler before you go on and build the box?

I will build the box in an cold area to save space in the garage but I will take air/heat from inside the garage.
