Found an ad on CL for some snap on stuff. 4 ratchets 1 set of metric sockets, 1 extension, and 3 screwdrivers. I am always looking for a deal on tools and the guy is open to offers. Here are the pictures he sent me.

These would be my first snap on items. I just dont know enough to know a good price when I see one. A lot of my things now are craftsman or off brand no name stuff. I would like to start getting some quality stuff.

those older ratchets are between 20 and 40 a peice depending... The hard handle is probably a 60 dollar ratchet. The socket set would be around 70-90 or more on ebay. Screw drivers would be around 15 bucks and the extension around 7. Roughly of course... I'd offer the guy 200 bucks and negotiate from there.

$200 is a good deal if your planning to actually use these tools. If your planning to make money off of some of the items to have a better deal then it would take a while. The only tools that really stand out are the green ratchet, both socket sets and the extensions. The other ratchets are pretty dated, and no1 would be willing to pay more than $20-$30 per ratchet.

The green handle ratchet is a new 72 tooth gear. The other three are older and have coarser gears. Take them apart get to know them, clean and grease and they will be smooth like butter.

He wants $1300 for everything.

I am skeptical but who knows.

I dont need the box or the cart and some of the tools I already have multiples of. I was thinking I could sell some and make up some of the $.

Were it me, I'd definitely need more photos and/or a more detailed list before I'd even think about it. If it's not far from you, it is worth checking out though.

He sent a few more pictures but not as many as I was hoping. He said these are older pictures but tools are in great shape.

I couldn't tell you a number without seeing everything, but it seems like if all the other tool chest drawers are filled as much as the few that we can see you might be in for a great deal. Tools add up fast. You are talking $250 used value (at least) just for the us general chest, and in the drawer of pliers alone you have over $150 in used tool value with just a quick glance. Stuff like the Mac hose pliers go for around $20 each used on Ebay. The key will be whether or not the majority of the rest of the tools are US made versions or imported versions, but even if the rest are all imported you are still looking good so far in my opinion. If you are looking for tools to use yourself or to resell, I would definitely at least go see everything before getting too nervous and walking away.

That a blue point socket set in the top of the cart.
But yea, go check it out. It looks like it is a possible good deal. Nobody here is going to say its a good deal without knowing what exactly is in every drawer.
