Pitman arm fork is cheap to buy easier to use but it may cause damage to the steering gear box when used to remove the arm

I have a proto 6546 pitman arm fork but seldom used

Q: How often do you use it?now and is it going to be extinct ....most cars now come with with the new rack and pinion gear boxes?

Thank you

So far, never. I have several pickle forks but so far all the ball joints I replaced got separated using a ball joint puller.

I quit using pickle forks several years ago as most newer vehicles they don't work on and will damage something.

I'd never use a fork on a pitman arm. Those so called pullers never did for me either, so I made up one from scrap that does work. It is sized for Mopar boxes, which are still in my stable.
