Everytime I go out there I try to cleansomething. A little at a time is always easier than all at once.

Except for sweeping.... I seem to do that everytime I go out there.

I just bought a DeWalt cordless handheld vac and absolutely love it. I can walk around and vac off all the power tools like the drill press and table saw. It's already one of my most valuable and favorite tools.

Another thing I did was right away when I was finishing off the inside I took great care to make sure nothing was on the floor except for things that obviously have to be.
I don't have any shelving that goes all the way to the floor, and I don't store anything on the floor. Sweeping is so much easier when there's nothing to move. Plus nothing to trip over. It's made a big difference.

Yes, I try to keep anything off the floor that can be, not that I regularly do it but everything has wheels or can be moved by pallet jack, some can be swept under.

Usually when I need to get a new piece of equipment, engine or something that is heavy I will clean up.

Got a two car garage, one side is occupied by a car that hasn't moved in 5 years (on stands) the other side gets accumulated with junk, there is an I beam with a hoist that spans the center of the garage so in order to get my ute in there I need to clean it all up.

Funny thing is as soon as I get it all cleaned up, I say to myself that from now on i'm going to keep it that way, clean up when I finish for the day etc.

About a week later it's a mess again! I wish I was more organized.

I clean up a little every time I'm in the shop. I hate hunting for tools & stumbling over ****.

spring cleaning.

my garage is a mess. my primary project being an offroad rig that often gets rode hard and put up wet doesnt help. I'd be better about cleaning it, but im often getting in late sunday nights and it sometimes sits for a couple weeks after being on the trails before I have a chance to clean it up :(

Depending on how much of a mess I make, up to 5 times a day. If I'm doing a lot of metal fab, grinder dust gets everywhere so fast, so I try to stay on top of it and keep it cleaned up. If I'm working on something 'clean' like a transmission, there's not much mess made and I'll only sweep when I clean up. Unless I'm stopping in the middle of a project just for the night, all tools get put away at the end of the work day too. I can't stand a messy workshop.

I think I clean it out almost every time there is a considerable mess and now just dust.

I scrub my floors roughly twice a month. I move everything out into the driveway and the whole thing takes me about 2 1/2 hrs. Not to bad for a spotless garage..
