The address on the ID tag uses a postal zone number instead of a zip code, so that dates it to sometime before 1963.

That may not mean much. To this day, Milton tire tread gauges have a City and State and postal zone number engraved into them. My company recently bought several hundred new Milton tread depth gauges to use on airliner tires, and that is the way they are marked. Crazy I admit, but its possible the data tags were used for years after zip codes went into effect.

Charles.
