First really nice box - bought back in the '60s (I think ) Have an old 3 drawer with bottom door awaiting restoration; not sure who made it. Thinking perhaps Waterloo - for either Snap On or Matco?

I bought my snap on top and bottom box from my grandpa around 2009-10 when he retired. He probably bought them in the 90’s. He always said that snap on was the only company to make a tool box lol.

I have an assortment of vintage boxes:

Six Mac boxes from the '70s
Two Lista boxes from the '80s
1967 craftsman lower box that was made by Advertising Metal Display Company
1984 Craftsman lower box.
Two Kennedy 5 drawer center boxes made in the '50s??
Western Forge top box made in 1978 I think
Proto center box from about the early '70s

I have a Kennedy 3047X red MRO type box. It was my Dad's when he worked as a machinist at a paper mill in rural Alabama.
I'm actually trying to find a replacement drawer for it if anyone has an idea where I can get parts. It is an obsolete box and Kennedy doesn't have anything for it other than slides.

I have my Dads old Rem Line that I recently restored. Bottom is a 61, Top is a 65 and I believe the middle is from the 70's. Now is my garage box. Someday will hand down to my son.

I still use my box I bought in about 1976, I have older boxes but they are not part of "my" tools, there for the over flow.

I have my grandfather's '63 craftsman combo and a '63 kra300 in my shop I use just about everyday. Also a Kennedy roll cab I believe to be 50's based on the red crinkle paint.

Not sure of the year. Got this Lista that came from the Sikorsky Helicopter Plant in CT some years back.

I did not own it from the beginning, but this is the first high quality tool chest I bought. Spent $40.
I never restored it (as was the initial plan) and it will not win any beauty contests, but it is used all the time and keeps me happy.
My second one was 1963 KRA-58B. It's in better shape, but some of my go to tools are in the first one I bought this it's used more frequently

Congratulations to all of you with VERY long lasting boxes!

Currently:

8-year old Craftsman 52" ball-bearing Griplatch top / bottom combo

It has been great for this "doesn't get opened often" DIY user.
