A local pawn shop just got in a bottom box like that last week. No price. I asked - nobody could tell me.
This week it's on the main floor, freshly (and poorly) spray painted with red. And a price tag of $59.99. :lol_hitti

If I find one like this in good condition, I will definitely buy it. Like the style!

Personally, I think the Craftsman 520 is worth $35, because you don't see many with the front door still there, and from that early era. The bottom is ok, because IIRC they are not a standard width, so need the matching top box.

Can never have too many...I'd have that in my shop if I was closer too!! Probably built better than most new $150 boxes.

It wouldn't be listed anymore if it were anywhere close to me. That would be a great deal around here.

Everyone around here thinks all toolbox's are worth new Snap-On money. It's ridiculous.

Edit: Case in point, this is currently on Kijiji for 120$

OP . . . that one SHOULD be in your garage already !!

Wash it up and have ready-made GJ gift . . . or pay it forward !! :bounce:

Any young guy starting out could use that setup with some used tools.

I don't think I could justify $20 for the box you posted. :shocking:

Be nice now!

That's a transition year box - red with gray drawers and the Craftsman "chevron" logo used on gray & red boxes throughout the 1960s/70s. I'd be all over it for half the asking price ...

Brian

Thanks for pointing that out Brian. I saw that when first posted but it didn't register. Cool to know and to see a transition period toolbox like that.

Ah, okay. I didn't realize that box was more stout than the usual red and black box.
