Hello, I got to axe you all a question. Puns aside I am wondering how old this craftsman axe head is. I bought bought it saturday with a bunch of wrenches (about 12, mostly old craftsman) for $5. It had a new handle on when I got it, a Garant one to be exact. I looked up craftsman axes and saw some on bushcraft forums and I had no luck finding one with the double circle around the craftsman stamp. I heard sears also used to make their own axes as well as sold re-branded ones as well. Don't exactly know what I am going to do with it since I trees in my yard, but I made a old fence post on the side of my garage into a pile of splinters.
Among the wrenches there where 2 or so vlchek wrenches, pretty interesting story about what happend to the company. I threw in a picture of one of the wrenches that was made when pendlton (proto) bought vlchek, very similar to the proto made fleet wrenches. I got to say proto is my favorite brand to collect since they bought so many brands. Not related to the axe but it is something I wanted to share
