I recently bought a craftsman drill press model nuber 11321310. I am having a hard time finding any info about it. I need bart of the quill lock and also wondered how old it is. The manufacture number is 1272 does that mean dec of 1972?

Prefix indicates it was made by Emerson Electric.
Model number would usually be represented as 113.21310.

I have a 113.21370 floor model that looks just like this one. I bought it new in 1973. I was concerned that the tiny v-belt wouldn't hold up, but it lasted until 2011!!! I found a replacemet Gates POLYFLEX belt on the internet. Other than that I have only had to replace light bulbs! High spindle speeds mean that this was intended as a woodworker's tool, but I have a heavier machine for the larger holes.

I wish it had a rack-and-pinion table lift. I have the optional tilting table attached and it is a bear to raise.

I have done some more looking and Sears no longer has the part. Did a check online for the part number and nobody has one. I guess I will have to make something myself.

What part are you looking for? some parts can be re-sourced, and others can be found on Eprey by people parting out a DP

Not very, by old machine standards. Those 1970s Craftsman DPs are thick on the ground. Between craigslist, eBay and owwm, you should be able to source a used part.
