How old is this shop light ?? Brass/Wood

I recently bought this light on ebay and am wondering if anyone has an idea of its age? It is made of brass with a wood handle. Has been rewired and in extremely nice condition. I have not seen one like it ever. Any help? Thanks. Ken

Wonder if it's a military trouble light... perhaps originally 12/24v?

Looks to me to be a 30's or 40's explosion proof light-nice condition!. I just bought a McGill explosion proof-1991 light for $30.00 off ebay too! Weighs about 5-lbs! Thought it was a good buy as they cost $300.00 or more.
