Date code should be in between off and on. I cant tell from the pic.

The date code is the little symbol between the "ON and "OFF"...
It appears to be 1960 (but I can't really see clearly) and it's a military ratchet...

In Snap-on's parts catalog section on thier website, you can find a complete repair kit for about 10$ last I looked.

If it was military production there is no warranty. Buy the kit and keep it working.

If you're thinking warranty repair--No--there are many current and older threads covering the tightening up on the warranty policies. Is this a 3/4" or 1" drive ratchet---from the pics it looks like an adaptor is on the drive square. SO used the "L" prefix in both 3/4" and 1" drive ratchets and they still do. One thing you need to do is compare that date code with this chart to zero in on the mfg. era:

On the older and current ratchets in these drive sizes they used a fastener thru the selector lever so you might be lucky in obtaining just that part or like plinker mentioned spend $10 for the entire kit.

Yep ther is a screw that goes through the selector lever and into the pawl.

The reverse lever is 5$ just for it, for 5$ more just get the kit and it'll work like new.

Once I used a 3/4 C-man ratchet for parts to fix a Snap On. (Its hard for me to get to the snap On Truck guy) Turns the C-man in for a new one later. I think they are both made in a plant in Tenn.
