How (or where) do you store your Chainsaw?

I recently bought a Craftsman 16" chainsaw and used it for what I needed it for and now it time to store it. It came with a nice bulky plastic case, but I'm having trouble finding a place for it.
Seems to bulky to hang up.
Takes up quite a bit of floor space, and really awkward on a shelf due to its shape.
Just wondering where you guys stash them away when not in use.
Thanks in advance,
-Robert.

I put a big hook into the bottom of a rafter. I hang the chainsaw by the handle from that hook - it sits level. I keep fuel/oil, file, muffs/gloves, tools, etc. in plastic milk crate - easy to grab & go when needed quickly. I also keep the bar-oil in an old 'Dawn' dishwashing detergent bottle. It's spout makes it easy to squirt into the saw. No need for a funnel and everythign doesn't get oily.

Laying in the floor of the shed, in the case and on it's side so the bar oil doesn't leak out into the case. (Craftsman 16"). The oil tank cap on those doesn't seal worth ****. Or - drain all the oil out when you store it.

Okay, when it's not being used to hunt Zombies...

My shed has shelves built-in. I keep the chainsaw in a plastic case, on the upper shelf. Out of the way, but easily accessible. Sheds are a GOOD thing to have.

Shelf in shed next to the leaf blower, with the string trimmer hanging above them on the wall.

In organge stihl plastic case, on floor, under work bench. Nothing weird about it, just need a wide enough shelf and you won't be able to store anything on top of it.

I went through three poulan/craftsman saws before finally moving up to a stihl MS290. Huge difference and much better for large western logs. The little poulans were excellent for trimming and small logs but lacked durability over time.

Depends on where it was used last, If at the House then it gets put on a shelf in the Shed, if last used at the Shop, then its in the Shop under a work bench.

P.S. You dont have to store it in the case.
