How rough should full flake Polyurea/Polyspartic floor be?

Just had my floor done in my garage and it looks great, but it seems too rough and wandering what my expectations should be. Looking across it looks pretty smooth, but it feels rough. I tried wiping it with a rag and it gets caught. I attached a quick video. Is this how it should be or did it not get scrapped well enough?

The flakes look good, but it looks as though the installer went a bit thin on the topcoat. Another coat would make it much better. It won't be smooth, but it will not be catching towels like that either.

I have same floor, it is not rough like that. I agree looks like the topcoat was bit thin as I watched them do mine they scraped up about 2 gallons of the flakes after they threw down about 6 gallons on 900sq ft garage floor. The top coat just accepted what was there the rest was removed after drying. I did sweep loose flakes up a few times after I started using the garage again. 5 years later looks like the day it was done. Picture from this year.

Thanks for replies. Glad to hear it shouldn't be that rough. The installer was able to stop by quick shortly after I posted this and agreed. Said he was going to lightly sand and put down another top coat. Wanted me to be 100% happy. Glad I went with who I did.

Hello, We are having the same issue but the Company is saying this is normal.
The Flakes are sticking up or protruding upwards. When you run your hand over the floor it cuts into your fingers, when pulling a cloth across you see it snagging or catching.
I thought the floor was going to be a smooth top layer, but it is not. Dirt and debris can get lodged between the flakes. We paid and wanted a floor that would be easy to clean and take care of.
What are your suggestions on my next steps with this company? Let me know if you think the floor looks right, I'll attach pictures.
Overall it looks nice from a distance and not walking on it.
We are wanting to put foosball and table tennis and pool table on it, so barefoot will be on it as well.

They also stopped at the doors edge, not going all the way out on the apron/skirt to the joint. I'm sure its a preference, but what is common application?

Looks screwed up to me!
Yes, I agree.
What steps do they need to do to make it right in your opinion?

There are two ways to go with the install.Sweeping and scraping off the flakes will leave a smooth, flatter finish but is slippery when wet.Or just sweeping the flakes which will give you a textured finish.
I agree you definitely need another top coat.

They should have gone all the way to the gap, that's just... lazy?

It will be more of a pain because your apron sticks out farther than most, so they'll have to basically apply and hope that no dirt gets into the floor (it probably will since it's outside)

But I would have them do it to the gap. They'll need to hand grind the lip, that's the most important part IF you have them do that because your tires hit that lip every time you drive into the garage so make sure it's done right or it will lift at that point first.

To fix the flakes, they can come out and grind and then put another top coat over it. Or if it's not too terribly bad they might be able to get away with just putting more topcoat, but I imagine if it's that bad that it's hanging on cloth etc, they'll need to grind.

Man that would drive me up a wall. Can't wipe it and I'm guessing sweeping/mopping isn't easy either? A powerful Shop-Vac will work for debris in the meantime. Good luck resolving it. Sounds like you need a new topcoat based on the comments here.
